Spencer Daniel Livingston is from Los Angeles, California. He uses a unique combination of oil on canvas, clay, wood, cardboard and epoxy resin to create paintings with vibrant colors and textures, often cutting and sculpting three dimensional shapes into the canvas. A lot of his inspiration comes from the way traces of earth’s natural history gets preserved in rock or ice and his paintings intend to capture life’s energy like footprints or fossils preserve traces of the past.
